چکیده

A The work presented here has been done on data collected by the EROS collaboration using a method developped by the AGAPE collaboration. Abstract Perspectives ooered by the Pixel Method applied on the LMC are shown. We use the 1 st year of EROS CCD data on the LMC for our analysis. We give an overview of a preliminary sample of Semi-Regular and Irregular Red variable stars detected in a 1 0:4 eld of the LMC bar.

Missing Craters on Eros, Phobos, and the Moon - Crater Erasure in a Thick Regolith?

The NEAR Shoemaker images provided the first reliable observations of sub-100 m craters on an asteroid. Veverka et al. [1] and Chapman et al. [2] found that much of the surface approached "empirical saturation", but at sizes below about 100-200 m the crater density was progressively lower than predicted for nearly saturated surfaces and did not have a slope expected of production populations. W...

A New Approach to Categorical Resampling

A new method has been developed for resampling raster image data that contain class or categorical data. Categorical data are usually the result of an image classification or other statistical processes. During reprojection and resampling, the combination or interpolation of data with their neighboring pixels is not necessarily meaningful as it is with signalbased remote sensing data. The neare...

Generation of Dtm from Stereo High Resolution Sensors

Digital terrain models (DTMs) were extracted from high-resolution stereo images (SPOT-5, EROS-A, IKONOS-II and QuickBird) using a three-dimensional universal physical model developed at the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing, Natural Resources Canada. DEMs were generated using an area-based multi-scale image matching method and then compared to 0.2-m accurate lidar elevation data. Elevation linea...

Mapping Lineaments on 433eros: Process, Results, Implications

Introduction: The Near-Earth Asteroid Rendezvous NEAR-Shoemaker spacecraft orbited the asteroid 433Eros for a year from 2000-2001. The NEAR Multi-Spectral Imager (MSI) collected tens of thousands of high resolution images and as a result Eros is the most comprehensively studied asteroid in the solar system. Previous mapping of lineaments on Eros has supported the suggestion of planes throughout...

Sub-pixel classification of hydrothermal alteration zones using a kernel-based method and hyperspectral data; A case study of Sarcheshmeh Porphyry Copper Mine and surrounding area, Kerman, Iran

Remote sensing image analysis can be carried out at the per-pixel (hard) and sub-pixel (soft) scales. The former refers to the purity of image pixels, while the latter refers to the mixed spectra resulting from all objects composing of the image pixels. The spectral unmixing methods have been developed to decompose mixed spectra. Data-driven unmixing algorithms utilize the reference data called...
